背景设置在近未来，主角是高级督察John Major及Roy Carver（Daniel Mays及Stephen Graham饰 ）；John及Roy是队中的灭罪精英拍档，但当一次卧底任务出错并造成John殉职后，警队因认为他是不可或缺的重要「资产」，于是决定把John的意识转移到一个实验性人工智能项目，使主角复活过来。 问题是，John Major 2.0虽然看似原版货，但其实在意识转移过程中漏失了不少东西，现在他的傲慢举动及过份热心的态度仍在，但破案直觉却通通丢掉了。。武林高手仇子玉(郭追饰)，本已退隐江湖，但正气未泯，应武林大豪南玉(李艺民饰)之邀，联手对抗四大巨盗，夺回飞龙璧物归原主。谁知南玉只是利用「鹬蚌相争，渔人得利」的局面夺取该璧据为己有，事成后仇亦惨遭毒手……。Based on real events, the story follows a father and son (Offerman and Tremblay) who identify as Sovereign Citizens, a group of anti-government extremists, as they venture across the country and find themselves in a standoff with a chief of police (Dennis Quaid) that sets off an intense manhunt with tragic consequences.。
