1980年代未，江南某城市。话剧团导演梦涛（林继凡 饰）与新任市长高枫（王志华 饰）是大学同学。高市长闻讯有人拿玉雕珍品送给自己的外商朋友，委托梦涛下基层调查此事，顺便采风搞创作。梦涛的采风可谓一波三折、惊心动魄。先是因为喝了一罐带蟑螂的饮料拉肚子，何一鸣（佟瑞欣 饰）送他进医院，护士粗心拿错了药，差点小命不保，而后又被推上手术台，差点遭解剖。气愤的梦涛留错了名片，他人错把他当成了新来的市长，惊慌失措的魏院长（翁国钧 饰）亲自将检讨送往市长办公室。梦涛与何一鸣误入农贸市场于经理（倪以临 饰）家宴，豪华奢侈令两人瞠目。由于梦、何二人买来别人藏钱行贿的香烟，至使于经理追到两人下榻的宾馆......。When their mum disappears, Tiana, Tionne, and Tanika fight to hide the truth from the outside world in order to stay together as a family.
